Collage

My collages are inspired by the many international trips I have been so fortunate to take over the past twenty years. I feel privileged to have witnessed the many treasures and wonders of this world from Western Europe to Asia; in particular, the breathtaking beauty of the Japanese countryside, its many shrines, temples and gardens, as well as the magnificent cathedrals of Europe that humble visitors with their transcendent presence. My travels have left an indelible mark on my psyche and filled me with a sense of wonder and spiritual enrichment, and nourished me with a well of inspiration.

The  collages utilize acrylic paints and traditional handmade Japanese Washi paper. Some of my collages are an abstract image of wind chimes. Wind chimes are very meaningful to me and can be a symbol of a loved one who has passed on, but whose presence feels near. It is my hope that the collages will  bring some beauty to your life, perhaps some stillness, and maybe some serenity as you enjoy their subdued colors in tandem with their spiritual forms and shapes.
